Urbes Construct has decades of experience in the processing of the maximum number of prefab elements to realise buildings.
In 1985, Jan Romel, ex-Romel Bouwbedrijf, was one of the first to start his own first primitive precast department in Izegem to make columns, internal walls, beams, etc.
He then relied on Prof Bruggeling’s course, which at the time was far ahead in terms of calculating precast joints.
At the time, no one applied this in apartment buildings. Today, almost everyone is doing it. We are proud to have been a front runner in this.
Unfortunately we regularly see mistakes being made by beginners in the application of structural precast elements for apartment buildings.
Mistakes that can cause problems later on.
However, if prefab is used correctly, it should add quality value. Urbes is proof of this.
Urbes is still using the experience built up then.
Urbes calls on KOLON for both structural and visible precast in grey concrete. KOLON is a spin-off of the former Romel Bouwbedrijf nv.
